This video is an edited sequence from an unreleased documentary, created as part of a hands-on editing assignment for class. Working with raw, unstructured footage, I was responsible for shaping the narrative and transforming the material into a polished, emotionally engaging story. Throughout the edit, I focused on building a clear and compelling structure, carefully selecting key moments to drive the story forward. I refined the pacing, cleaned and leveled the audio, and applied color correction to maintain visual consistency. The video also features smooth transitions, subtle sound design, and thoughtful sequencing to preserve the authenticity of the original footage while enhancing its impact. This project gave me the opportunity to practice industry-standard editing techniques in a real-world context, highlighting my ability to work with documentary content from the ground up.

This animation project was a hands-on exercise in developing motion graphics skills from the ground up. I began by designing original characters in Adobe Illustrator, focusing on clean shapes, strong silhouettes, and layer organization optimized for animation. Once the designs were complete, I imported them into Adobe After Effects, where I brought each character to life through movement and expression. The process included rigging character parts, animating walk cycles, facial expressions, and timing keyframes to create smooth, believable motion. I also explored principles of animation such as anticipation, squash and stretch, and easing to enhance the sense of personality and weight in each character’s movement. This project was a great opportunity to strengthen both my illustration and motion design skills while building a deeper understanding of the animation pipeline.

This practice project involved editing raw, uncut footage from the official "Believer" music video by Imagine Dragons. Working without a pre-assembled timeline, I was challenged to craft a compelling visual narrative from scratch, using only the original shots and my own creative direction. Through careful selection, trimming, and sequencing of the footage, I constructed a story arc that visually supports the energy and emotion of the song. I focused on building rhythm through precise cuts, syncing key visual moments with the beat, and maintaining visual momentum from start to finish. This edit also allowed me to explore the emotional contrast within the footage, highlighting tension, impact, and release through dynamic pacing and visual storytelling. This project was an excellent opportunity to practice music video editing techniques, refine my sense of timing, and explore the relationship between audio and visual storytelling.

In this editing exercise, I reimagined scenes from the dramatic romance film Twilight and transformed them into a romantic comedy through strategic editing and sound design. By adjusting pacing, reordering clips, and selecting moments with lighter emotional tones, I was able to shift the narrative and emotional context of the film entirely. I enhanced the comedic effect using upbeat background music, well-timed cuts, and humorous audio cues, giving iconic scenes a fresh, playful tone. This project highlights how editing choices, like music, timing, and scene selection, can completely reshape audience perception and redefine genre. This creative experiment allowed me to explore genre conventions, practice tone manipulation, and showcase the power of post-production in storytelling.

It was a valuable opportunity to practice turning disconnected moments into a meaningful, well-structured story.

Position: Main Editor, Sound, Colorist (Adobe Premiere Pro) After four lifelong friends become physically separated by the COVID-19 pandemic, Cara Zechello reminisces on the good times they've had together in a patio. Cara Zechello, one of the four members of the The Clinkers friend group, reminisces over the past get togethers her and her lifelong friends have had over the past few years. When Covid-19 hits, she finds her patio empty and quiet, but her mind still remembers what it was like to have Tami, Andrea, and Joe dancing and drinking the day away.

Position: DIT, Editor and Colorist Workflow: Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve Studio After receiving an invitation to her expecting sister's baby shower, a estranged sister must confront her family and the conflicting memories of her previous miscarriage. An estranged sister receives an invitation to her expecting sister’s baby shower. At the shower, the fantasies of the hopes and dreams she had for her unborn baby before having a miscarriage mixed with some jealousy towards her sister's pregnancy trigger resentment and anger towards her loved ones. She realizes she has to move past her grief, forgive her sister and herself for what happened in the past in order to be there for the new baby that is soon to come. or this short film, I took on multiple post-production roles, serving as the lead editor, sound editor, and colorist. Working closely with the director, I helped shape the story with careful attention to pacing, tone, and emotional flow—ensuring the final cut honored the creative vision. Editing was done in Avid Media Composer, where I structured the narrative, refined performances, and built momentum through rhythm and timing. I managed the sound design and dialogue editing, balancing audio levels and adding ambient sound to enhance immersion. For color grading, I used DaVinci Resolve to craft a consistent visual look, enhance mood, and elevate the overall cinematic quality of the film. This project showcases my ability to collaborate across departments and handle multiple stages of post-production, combining technical skill with creative sensitivity to bring a story to life.

Position: DIT, Editor, Colorist and Sound Editor (Adobe Premiere Pro) Be Careful What You Wish for is a film about a girl who learns the power of her harsh words. This short film was a collaborative college project, shot with friends and classmates. I took on the role of both Digital Imaging Technician (DIT) on set and Lead Editor in post-production. As the DIT, I was responsible for managing and organizing the footage during the shoot, ensuring that everything was safely backed up, properly labeled, and ready for the edit. Once filming wrapped, I edited the project using Adobe Premiere Pro, carefully shaping the raw footage into a cohesive and emotionally engaging story. I applied color correction, effects, transitions, and pacing adjustments to enhance the visual tone and support the narrative flow. My creative decisions in post helped elevate the overall storytelling and bring our team’s vision to life. This project reflects my hands-on experience across the entire workflow, from on-set data management to final edit, and showcases my ability to manage both the technical and creative sides of video production.
